Where Do Google Meet Recordings Get Saved?
Google Meet recordings are saved directly to Google Drive.
Specifically, they are placed in a folder named "Meet Recordings" within the meeting organizer's Google Drive.

Key things to know:
Meeting Organizer's Drive: The recordings are always saved to the Google Drive account of the person who organized the meeting. Even if someone else starts the recording, it still goes to the organizer's Drive.
"Meet Recordings" Folder: Look for a dedicated folder called "Meet Recordings" at the top level of the organizer's Google Drive. If you don't see it immediately, it might be within "My Drive".
Email Notification: The meeting organizer (and the person who started the recording, if different) will receive an email notification with a direct link to the recording in Google Drive once it's processed and ready.
Accessibility: Anyone with whom the organizer shares the recording from Google Drive can access it. Google Meet itself doesn't automatically share the recording beyond the organizer and starting recorder (if different).
Storage Usage: Google Meet recordings count towards the Google Drive storage quota of the meeting organizer's Google account.
In short: Google Meet recordings are automatically saved to the "Meet Recordings" folder in the Google Drive of the meeting organizer.
